Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi
I'm so sorry I have been AWOL for so long, lots going on and hope to be able to share some news and pics with you all soon. Not been able to get my hands on my crafty stuff recently but hopefully that will change very soon.
Had a quick flick back thorough a few post, Liz I hope things are on the up for Anna-Marie and everything goes well. Just wanted to add that unfortunately I bleed most of the way through my last pregnancy and they could never give a reason why, but things worked out ok in the end. So fingers cross and hope that it gives you some hope.
I guess everyone has been really busy and hope everyone is ok and I do hope to be able to get on a little more often, I have so missed my chats.
Take care and hope to speak soon.
Fi x

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Thanks Fi, I try to stay optimistic without glossing over too much if that makes sense as I dont want to build any false hope in Anne-Marie but neither do I want to be doom abd gloom!
Hope you get back on the forum soon.

Morning all
As you can see I'm up bright and early today as we are off to France for 4 days. We are staying with Rogers cousin near Angouleme. Just love this area, so I'm really looking forward to it. Hopefully I'll drag roger to Cultura (craft store) to buy some goodies too
Don't forget to check out the new yummy challenge for April.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
It is very quiet on here at the moment where is everyone?
I hope you all had a nice Mother's Day yesterday, I did, my younger Son surprised me with a visit and my elder Son sent me some flowers and then I have an Australian Mother's Day next month when my Daughter sends me flowers which is very nice. For some reason Father's Day is the same date around the world.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi Everybody or anybody who is here! The forum seems to be going very quiet again, is there something happening I dont know about?
Well here's a bit of gossip for you - has anybody who is interested in foiling seen this little machine http://craftdragon.com/impress.html, there is a nice little video to go with it. Not seen it in real life and according to the site is only available on pre-order. Anybody heard anymore about it?

Hi Chris,
It is a bit like the Mary Celeste on here at the moment.
I hope you had a nice girly day out with your DD and didn't spend too much.
I have got four Birthdays in the next week so I had better crack on and get some cards made.
I keep meaning to tell you my friend has still got no where with her "I" either with C&C nor Provocraft (in the Netherlands) who C&C put her onto so now she is going to speak to Provocraft direct this week in the hopes or sorting the problem out and I can tell you she is not a happy bunny!!!!!!!

Re: Daily Chit Chat
4 days gone by in one page!!!! what's going on, am I on my own?
I know, everybody is shopping, it's that sunshine, it's made everybody feel all happy.
I hope all you ladies are ok!
Just to let you know, I bought as I said on the scrapbooking page, two books of 12 x 12 papers, but I forgot the most important thing a cordless glue gun it's fab, heats up in a couple of minutes, just uses four batteries and it doesn't drip everywhere, wish I had seen this instead of my electric one, I don't use that because it carries on dripping everywhere and I cannot do with the lead across my desk.
Anyway, just to let you know what I have been upto. Oh and we have hot water again - the gas man repaired the boiler, used over £1,000 of parts, glad I didn't have to pay, this cover has been worth every penny....................... I can tell Ian 'I told you so' now!!!!! you know what men are like, they don't like to spend at the best of times, back to washing, I have a weeks worth to catch up on but at least it is sunny.
See ya!!!
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi Carol,
I am glad to hear you are OK. I went to the Craftrange which is not far from Boundary Mill the other day, have you been if not it is worth a trip, they have a Cafe within the shop which does home made food which is very good.
It is a beautiful day here and the washing machine is working overtime.
Hope everyone else is OK.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi Carol,
Glad you are happy to be back at work. Pam and I have been wondering why things are so quiet. Sunshine has enticed everybody away.
Where have you seen a cordless glue gun? My hot glue gun is absolutely hopeless, it heats up but by the time you have put an inch strip down it has set rock hard and doesnt glue anything to anything. Then you can pull a bead of glue off as it hasnt even stuck to the page you are applying it to.
Hope everybody has a good weekend. Dom has a shooting day with cadets on Sunday so it is an early morning no lie in, round trip picking up three of his mates before we even get on the way!
Mamb (Amber) is finishing her textiles coursework and photoing it so that will be a section off her list, then next week she has 10 hours of art exam. Fingers crossed all go well.
Pam glad to hear you are getting the chores done! I suddenly remembered 930 last night that the guys had no clean shirts for school today, so had to set the machine going. Then they blinking well would not dry quick enough this morning so there were damp colars but at least they were clean.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Well done to your friend Pam and good customer relations Provocraft.
Well I have just finished a 15 hour textile stint with/for Amber so having 10 mins with laptop and a glass of vino before I turn in! 8 buttins and buttin holes and a bit of applique before before we can do 2 - a3 pages full of photos and then I think we can say textile course work completed for deadline Tuesday. I can tell you I am breathing a sigh of relief as it has really taken it out of Amber this week and of course it has to be really hot today when we had to crack on inside for her to finish - but we have all but made it. SO she can relax a little Monday and Tuesday before her Art exam Wednesday and Thursday, five hours painting each day. Then we will all shout for joy on Friday as Easter hols begin at teatime and she has earnt a bit of a rest before the last long haul.
Dont know if I mentioned it yesterday but the boiler was condemmed and we need anew one, that is on top of the new roof on the garage last month. Anybody got any wimming lottery tockets they want to share? Well they say things come in threes so God knows what the third thing will be! Hopeing to manage to plod on until a week Monday then Mum goes away with brither for a week, so we thought of having wok done then, then if the weather chills or any such thing then it is us younger ones that are putting up with it rather than Mum who feels the cold a lot with her just sitting around.
Another story for progress, one of my car light bulbs went so I went up to my little local garage and asked them to look at it and I had to go back another day when one of the lads was back of hols who had small hands and after a bit of twiating and turning he changed the bulb for me and wouldnt charge me for labour even though it had taken him half an hour or so and the bulb cost me £15 and some pence. Out of sheer curiosity my DH rang Renault and asked how much they would charge and the answer was!!!!! - we dont change lightbulbs sir we change the light unit, oh say my DH and what would that cost, oh arounf £180 - I'm not sure if that was plus labour or including labour!! MOrel visit the little one man business garage first.

Morning All
Liz it's nice to see you've finished your course work lol, glad Amber can relax now for a few days before her art exam. well done to you both. Fingers X for her exams sending hugs.
sorry to hear about your boiler and roof, by the way you have had 3 Boiler Roof & bulb, so no more coming your way. Hope your Mum has a nice week away. We have a little garage man down in our village and they were so helpfull when a lorry hit our DD car and drove off I dont think its realized he'd hit her, well they were so kind and patched it up for her untill they could fit her in for a proper repair, when our 2 cars run out of warranty we will take ours there for services & repairs alot cheaper.
It's been manick here lately with all the our birthdays, so now there out of the way I will be checking in more offten.
A friend of mine is hoping to buy the Expression she has a Baby, but I told her to wait to see what the E2 is like but not sure when its out, does anyone know so I can tell her, she so wants one but I'm holding her back but don't know for how long
Beauitfull day here again so off to make breakfast and then in garden for a few hours then theres sport on this arrvo for Hubby, so I might get an hour or 2 in the craft room
take care
