Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hello, I feel like its up Sunday. hope everybody is enjoying the sun. I'm in the garden and there is a bird that every now and then sounds like a telephone, honest. Now I know why iPhones are good. Boiler fixed, hot water and washing done.
My glue gun was bought from boundary mills. It is a do- crafts gadget.
Oh this screen is far too small! Will come back later x x

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Another fab day here, lovely and warm. Meant to be decorating the dining room, but it's too nice to be inside.
Haven't been doing to much crafting, but I've managed to make a card for my MIL who is 80 on Thursday. She just doesn't look her age and is so fit and active

Hi Chris
Glad youhave a sense of humour!! Rgw sewubg was completed yesterday/this morning and it looks fab.But I then dicovered after we had donr the photos there was varying pages that she needed to complete her portfolio, so it has been another 13 hour day, for the girl who was going to have a free weekend and do little or nothing so she could control the stress for Wednesday and Thursday. Anyway you all here me rattle on so here is a pic for you for the task that has now been completed - I hope.
My Mum doesnt pass out compliments easily told her she had only one problem and that was how was she going to top the project for her A levels as she cosidered the project was A level standard not GCSE! Praise in deed from Mum but many a word of truth is spoken in jest.
Anybody win on the Grand National?
Nite all.
Liz xx

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi Liz,
I am glad my Daughter wasn't into sewing etc. only sport which didn't need my help. My Grandson recently had a Science project to do which took my Son 4 hours to help him do it only to find GS had forgotten to do one of the set project so instead of doing four he only did three and got a "B" instead on an "A" - that's children for you!!!!!!
Well done Amber your project looks excellent and good luck in the exam.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Thanks Pam, she doesn't know I have posted that picture, so will tell her when she gets back in tonight and starts on the art that needs finishing before Wednesday! God knows how they expect them to stay awake in school and the bit that really confuses me is they have had 18 months minimum to get things done so why cant they set a schedule for the kids that doesnt result in chaos stress and hassle right at the last moment!
Both Portfolio and clothes have gone into school today and apparently all marks will be sent to examining board a week tomorrow, so according to email they have sent round to the students is that if they feel any little tweeks need doing they will get back to the students and expect them to do them Wednesday or Thursday!! Well as Amber is doing art exam all day Wednesday and Thursday that doesnt work for her, so fingers crossed she has done everything required and nothing needs tweaking!

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Great outfit Amber, let us know what grade you get.
I'm all for a schedule as well, but I guess it's trying to teach them to plan things ahead. Having said that, Josh had a schedule for his NVQ and he still left things till the night before

I know what you mean Kerry, but at the moment every flipping subject thinks there's is the only one of importance and they have all loaded on the pressure to do this that and tother. Fingers crossed for her that she gets a good grade.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Wow Amber, you have done a fabulous job - good luck with the exams. Don't do any tweeking, if everything is done now, leave well alone, I have tweeked in the past and it does not go down well if it goes wrong. Anybody remembers tweeking a card or other project ?????
Lou, Fiona where are you? not heard from you for ages.
It's a lovely day, anybody playing out today?
Have a great time whatever plans you may have.

What has happened to everybody, not one post yesterday! I am on a deserted island - am I Robinson Crusco? Where is my man Friday?
Re: Daily Chit Chat
How about a woman Thursday Liz My time had been taken up with painting this week, so no time to craft at all. Hopefully I'll get some cards done over the weekend.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Woman Thursday sounds fine to me! Have you managed to finish the painting yet? I hate glossing!
Re: Daily Chit Chat

Hi every one not Ben on as much the last couple of week to much to do with looking after hubby and trying to sort out the help with getting around the house
I feel like I am banging my head on the wall can't find out if he is going to go back to the way he was before he went into hospital. He could walk around if he took it slowly
Now he can only just get out of the chair

Re: Daily Chit Chat
You aren't the only one who gets them mixed up, maybe because they both begin with an A!
I haven't seen her this week as she has a stinking bug, cough, cold sore throat etc. She has had her booking in appt with the midwife and that was mostly form filling and she is being given a consultant appt to go alongside the midwife and check ups with him/her on a regular basis too but I have not heard of any problems apart from the bug, which the midwife told her was common as her immune system will be down whilst the body is coping with the changes within the body and supporting another life.
Thanks for asking Pam.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
I've had a great weekend, the weather has been great. The dining room painting is finished - yippee Roger is laying the carpet as I speak and we are hiring a carpet cleaner tomorrow to clean the lounge, dining room, Joshua's room and the study.
We took MIL out for her birthday cream tea (wasted on me) in the New Forest yesterday, but she loved it.
