Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi Chris Thanks for the offer and information. I ordered some of ebay last night from a link from the link Pam gave me and it is A4 I dont have a deep bade housing so it might be extra cuts with the normal blade!!! I am about to restick some mats so I shall use them. This is what I have gone for http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dllViewItem&item=260739778663&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSA:GB:1123.
Let you all know how I get on with it once it has arrived, might need to get the deep blade and housing but we will see! Not sure I will get it done for her birthday but we will see, now need inspiration on shape and design elements etc, it is something I have never done before!

Morning all,
Have added some of my knitting and crocheting creations to my blog Kerry, love the new types of wool especially the pom pom wool but its so expensive.(£10.00 a ball)
Have always wanted to cut chipboard with my cricut but have been afraid I might break it?
Not alot to do today, shopping being delivered this morning and got to finish a blanket for my auntie (she a childminder needs blankets for the buggys)then might attempt to cut the lawn if it stays dry.

Hi Liz
I have done a couple 1 was a beer mat size the other was a top note shape both shapes fitted onto A4 card.
I have also done a round 1 but that does take a little more card but I did less pages, I did cheat with the round one took a tracing of the shape and put it on my computer, then cut it out with my Pazzle, before I had my expression.
You could still do the same with the Cricut & your Gypsy. Later i will post a couple of Photo's of the original 1, I had made from a kit if you would like too see it for inspiration

Morning Karen
I just love to knit In my younger days I had a machine and did loads of jumpers for my kids. I just hand knit now, I agree with you wool very Expensive these days but I think that of most hobbies they all cost alot more that they used too.
Far to wet here to cut lawn hee hee
Off to put some washing on and to start a little tidy up & at the same time pop in & out of the hobby room.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi Chris that sounds good I would love any inspiration people through at me, as I said when we spoke I am not a scrapbooker although I would love to be one! Anne-Marie calls the bump peanut at the moment so I thought the front cover might be peanuts journey and I recently bought create a critter so I can use the peanut cut for that! That's as far as I have got!!!!!! I want there to be lots of journaling spaces as her writing is large and some space for pics of nursrey inspiration or whatever and perhaps some pockets to put stuff in and I thought the final page could be a I have arrived page and I am a little ................. With space for day date time sort of thing. I am thinking I can cut a 'girl' and 'boy' and then she can use whichever one she needs and make a box for it to fit in with an acetate window in! How's that sound. Then I need to decide how many pages to put in and what shape to make the album, I know I want a shape rather than a square or oblong and I suppose a scalloped circle would be very time consuming and maybe tends more towards a girl than unisex - what do you think?
Any suggestions to feed the inspiration would be welcome.
I am not a knitter it takes too long and is too slow to grow!!!! I used to have a knitting machine when Anne-Marie was little and a spinning wheel (still have that) and used to spin and knit away to my hearts content and use the spun yarn on the knitting machine and made loads of jumpers, cardi's cushion covers, tie backs etc etc. My love is crocheting but since all the surgery on my shoulder I have crocheted little my last piece was a poncho for Amber, I will take a pic some time and post it for you. I did crochet a shawl and christening robe when I was expecting Anne-Marie and Anne-Marie, Amber, Dominic and JJ (Anne-Marie's son that was adopted at bad times) have all worn the christening robe for their christenings so I expect I will have to find it out for peanut!

Re: Daily Chit Chat
I just love that nik name Peanut.
Liz I have alot of Didgital Templates that might be of some help to you as they show you how to put scrapbook pages together.
I can e-mail them to you they are all Zip files. Do you have Photo Shop.
Also you could do a Bracket shape. On your G if you can find a bracket shape weld it to a rectangle. I have done this shape and once you have this shape all you need to do is to select Fit to Page and you will get lots cut all at once. I think I need a strong coffe as my English grammer is all to pot
talk soon

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi Chris
That sounds fab, I just want to make her something a little special after the rough road she has travelled. I am off to an early scan with her this afternoon to check all OK after being in hospital the other week. Mick is at work and she is still being kind of excited and pessamistic all at the same time and didn't want to go on her own. I am just crossing everything and praying all is well for her otherwise I will have a very emotional person on my hands and we are having to go in two separate cars cause if timings and school etc. Just like me to jump in at the deepend, cant have time to have a practice run got to go and make something I want to be really special and of course will be criticising myself all the way through it!
Wish us luck for this afternoon, about 1:30pm.
Yes I do have Photoshop, dont know all its ins and outs but do have it!

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Liz I have everything X for this afternoon sending you hugs.
I will send you a ziped file of the layout. if you open them up in PS you will notice a PNG file if you click on it it show you all the pieces put togther so you can see what the pages looks like finished.
If you would like to change it then open up all the JPG files and you can move the pieces around to suit. Hope that makes sense.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Thanks for crossing everything, it all went well and she saw on the monitor her six and a half week baby with a beating heart - she was buzzing when we left although I did have to have a fight on her behalf when we got to the department as it was against hospital policy for her to be accompanied by anyone! I won they lost and Anne-Marie stopped panicing and settled down and relaxed. The radiographer adjusted from I cant tell you anything today and please realise you are breaking hospital policy to assuring Anne-Marie everything was as it should be and all was well and all was growing as it should and she still had the cyst but that was good and it will disappear on its own when the time is right! Eureka I can stop panicing about how to drive two cars, calm her down if things were not as they should be and be at school on time for Amber and Dominic. A few more white hairs to add to the rest!!
Re: Daily Chit Chat
6 1/2 weeks, wow it's amazing what you can see at such an early stage. Glad everything went well Liz, you must be relieved.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Thanks Chris no problem. Sounds like me, put it somewhere safe and then forget where you have put it!
Anne-Marie is doing fine at the moment, she is coming for dinner tonight so that will be nice, Mum and DH not seen her since it was confirmed she was pregnant. Brother is coming over too, so it will ne a house full.
Amber suffering pain at the moment and we have had to up the meds and it is sumised that the added stress of finishing coursework and the big exams coming up is the cause of the increase although she says she isnt stressed out, so we are having to up her painkillers to try and get a lid on the pain and the GP doesnt expect her to feel much improved until last exam taken. I wonder about that cause then there is a stress waiting for results and then it will be start of A levels and then pick Uni and course so to me it just seems like an accelerated stress level from now on, so I dont quite see why he thinks stress goes away after last exam but hey fingers crossed he is right!

Glad to hear you other daughter is doing ok with the pregnancy finger crossed for her
Had to rush hubby in to hospital again last night by amberlance this time and back to the same old story they don't know what is wrong his blood sugar is at 34 instead of 6
His blood presure went down to 75. He had a high temp and was struggling to breath they have got a medical doctor and a surgeon looking at him more X-ray and scans it's a wonder he dose not glow in the dark he's nil by mouth in case they need to operate
So they are having to give him insulin. Instead of the tablets just wish they would decide what is wrong

Re: Daily Chit Chat
morning everyone!!! i have been mia a bit this week, so busy i dont know if i am coming or going! i have spent most of the week peeking for info on the forums about my MTC and feeling terribly sad at all the negativity PC/MTC settlement has caused, seems a lot of peopole are selling their cricuts.....please send them my way!!!!!
i think that as along as i dont update my MTC everything will be ok with it but i have to admit i think if my e ever breaks i might try another cutter, my theory is it cant hurt to try another anyway but luckily my e seems to be pootling along very nicely!!!
is anybody doing anything for comic relief? we are having a wear something funny day at work today and mo has to dress up as something beginnning with r, he has chosen robin hood, and i have sewn a pair of eyes, red circle for a nose and pipe cleaner for glasses on thr back of a long black wig!!!
right off for a cuppa now!!
