I hope no one minds me cross posting but as it's been dormant for a few weeks, I thought I would prompt those who may like to buy some stamps to go to the for sale thread

Re: Daily Chit Chat
The cricut MB is actually a lot better since they did an update a few days ago, you are kept logged in now and it is a lot quicker. Have you tried logging out and logging back in? If it won't let you do that try setting up a new user name.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Welcome home Lesley
Would any one be willing to stamp me some tildas for my daughter she wants to try colouring them with my pro markers as she is just getting in to crafting while she is at home with the baby and can't afford to buy them if she can not get on with them
I will send you something to make up for your costs please

Re: Daily Chit Chat
I'm all alone here today very quite. Just ordered a cindy lou cart from CC at £25.70 and that included P&P.
I will see how long it takes and if I get stuck with customs.
They have Lori Garden on pre-order so I might be tempted as theres no other I cart that takes my fancy New ones due out in april i think. Also waiting for the I update but thats been held up for tech reasons due out yesterday and were stilling waiting. There launching the new E on HSN very soon so thats taking there time up but I'm patience. Any of you heard about the Craft Room ? sounds good ? but i will reserve judgment till I've seen it up and running.
I have manage to get back on to the cricut uk I forum so that good.
I will stop rambling now and go feed the OH and Kids.
Liz I hope all OK with your daughter Take care
LOL Chris x

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Thanks for all the wishes for my daughter. I think it will be a slow few weeks as she has to be very careful and lay up a lot. She can continue to get pain from these cysts for up to 3 months according to the good old tinternet! I am hoping she finds a comfortable position and pain free or at least reduced pain. I keep my fingers crossed we have no more traumas and in between times she is planning for the nursery ect. She has come up with a name for a boy and a name for a girl, they are Rocco Joisah and Eden Hope. Unusual I suppose, I am really praying nothing goes wrong and everything settles down as she is so fixed on the baby 24/7 I am not sure how she would cope if anything went wrong, mentally she is very fragile.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
It's great things have settled down a bit Liz. I love the names, a bit unusual which I like. Positive thoughts coming your way.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi Pam,
No sunshine in Derbyshire, dull and grey! Off to parents evening in a few mins for Dom wont get back until 7pm if I am lucky!
At last I have my martha score board that I have fancied for so long, thanks for heads up on where it was in UK. Another puzzler for you all to pass your opinions on. I have three rotary cutters but when it comes to needing to cut a slit within a project i.e. not from edge to edge I dont find they are very accurate. You cant tell exactly where to start and stop, I dont like making them with a craft knife as I find that is a bit raggety. What type of cutters do all of you use for this purpose?

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Liz, I use a craft knife and a steel ruler or my paper trimmer in patricular the Fiskers one as it has a marker on the blade so you can see where to start and finish

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Morning Dee. I've sent you a PM.
Cold but sunny here. Done some more painting in the lounge this morning then I'm off to sort out my glasses. I've got varifocals (I'm a blind old bird!!) as they are just not comfortable, I'm fiddling with them all the time. Hope to get some crafting done later today. I need to make a card for my son who is nearly 23. He love DJing (is that a word ) so I'm going to try and do something around that theme.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Good morning all, it is a miserable day here after the last two days. C&C have got the Grand Calibar as POTW so I am going to watch the show at 12 as I bought one the other day and it is still in the box!!!!!!!!!! The advert. for the machine says it will take the Cuttlebug Folders, well we tried it in class the other day and it nearly broke the machine as it was too thick, so me being me did a bit of searching and found that the best thing to use is the thick plate and the Cuttlebug "B" plate, I found this information on Youtube.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
I haven't seen POTW, fancy having something in a box and not undoing it! Shame on you Pam. I have at least undone my scoreboard even if I haven't used it.
Well one of my bargain carts turned up today but it was not quite the bargain I hoped for as I got caught for VAT. I bought Quarter Note off ebay from proudparents and it cost be $33 (£20.27) and then I had to pay $13.99 (£8.59) and now I have had to pay £12.11 charges so my £20 cart ended up at £40.97 was it a bargain or not? I suppose if I share the charges across other carts that have got through free of charge then it makes it sound a bit better. I did ring to ask why I had been charged as I thought it was under the limit but I was told "If it is a business transaction then the maximum value you can have sent you is £18 and obviously $33 was greater than that, and once it is over the £18 limit then you get charged 20% on total value plus Royal Mail's £8 handling charge. If it is a gift from one individual to another, no company names invlolved and no money changing hands you are then allowed a value of £40 before charges" So now we know what's what! How have you done Lesley on all the carts you bought, 16 wasn't it, the other week?
