Oh, tinternets back on!!!
Re: Daily Chit Chat
No No better, visited Anne-Marie and she is at the poinbt of I have been fat enough long enough and uncomfortable now I want to meet my baby and was bored to death when we got there and was panicking house wasnt clean enough for her Dad to visit tonight to which I said it is fine and if he wants it any different let him do it for you!
Dom been off school all day and even refused a MacD's at one point. Amber finishes 1250 on a Tuesday and then I was thinking feet up and a no work evening for once as I wasnt going to karate and I had to take Dom's friend's karate suit to him as we had it at our house as Dom brings it in on a Monday evening after cadets ready for Tuesday and then by the time I got there with it I discovered his friends uncle could not take him to karate so he wouldnt be going and didnt need his suit after all! I just spent the past 4 hours helping Amber with textiles and printing pages for her portfolio! God what comes next after Eastenders? Oh yes trying to ring round and find a venue for Dom to have his birthday party which he wants to share with one of his friends! They have adult ideas you know 130 guests both us Mum's have said maximum 50 guests, the village hall want £250 bond plus hiring fees etc. Dom wants it to have a bar so the older cadets can buy drinks whilst their eardrums get burst! Most places say 15 year old party no bar then I find a room at £60 for night has a bar can take own DJ but you have to have their food which starts at £6.50 per person! I dont think so not even when we are sharing costs! Just tried to ring other Mum only got answerphone!

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hello, like Liz I am lurking in the background and checking in everyday only to find not many people around.
Liz, I am so sorry to hear that Amber is still having problems at school and hope they get resolved soon.
Carol, I was at Preston yesterday but it wasn't windy but rather wet and am going back again at the end of next week and hope the snow hasn't arrived by then!!!!!!! I still haven't found my Gypsy yet but glad to hear yours it up and running again.
If anyone is interested I understand from Mel that there will be good deals on Cartridges for all the machines on C&C tonight (the 19th) at 7.p.m.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Likewise Pam I lurk and see what everybody posts. Off back to school this afternoon for another meeting in school!
Well they say it never rains but it pours at Amber's riding lesson on Wednesday night she came flying off a new horse when working stirrupless and got smashed against a five bar fence on her bad side and caught her right hand so has been off school past two days and been to A&E for past two days! Last night the practitioning nurse gave her a hug and squeeze after he administered her some morphine and said he had to take his hat off to her vertually rattling everyday yet continuing with her studying and improving her riding!
Nice bloke, there are some nice people left in the world - apart from on here.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
I'm here!! Just got a message that somebody was on board, my phone tells me when somebody sends a message. Boy oh boy the motorway from Manchester was busy tonight and the fog from boundary mill was a real pea souper. Hope everybody is ok. I have two true ' battery chickens'. I went down tonight to give them some extra water because they had not been out a full day, I used a battery torch when I was feeding them, and one of the batteries fell out (the back fell off ages ago) I hope they don't peck that duracell or they will be clucking all night just like the duracell bunny, must make note to myself to check that the battery is there tomorrow, can't tell you what was cold that my fingers went in whilst feeling for the battery, hence to say - scrubbed hands!!!!
Re: Daily Chit Chat

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Just watching Jinger from Provocraft. This wifi feature - if your machine is upstairs and you are downstairs - WHO LOADS THE PAPER????? They have gone too far now, great of it's all on hour craft desk, no wires but to assume you could be ( and yes you could) in a separate room from your precious machine and equally special paper, what of it screws the paper up mid cut? One way to break an expensive machine!!!! Wonder if that's covered under the warranty!!!! Or is it user error? I think like on the DEN - I'm out on this one, would rather buy card from Kanban!!!!!
Sorry if I've upset anybody, just me being loud after lack of sleep. Just watching the new features, bet my original Cricut still has the DEAD buttons with no added features. By the way, I have not done a spell check - I'm ony phone.
I've just thought of something! They could supply a man to load the paper, choice of style and size!!!!!!

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Wow create and craft have put their prices up - £24.99 for two replacement Cricut blades! Think there is a typo somewhere, or is that right only the other week they had 6 blades for about the same price.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Sandra, thank you for the link, I watched the video, mine doesn't look as good as that, my paper keeps tearing, I am having real cutting problems, using new mat and blade, cleaned out the blade holder - gave up for a while. I don't usually change pressure and things but will try that later. How did your lanters turn out, can you post a picture if you have one, would love to see what you made.
How is everybody this week - I'm totally pooed out! James and his friends decided to camp out last night - I never sleep well when they do that! James is now warm in bed - fast asleep! I don't think they got much sleep either. At least I knew where they were, better than them being in town at night!
Have a good weekend everybody!
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Poor old Carol is keeping the thread going single handed, where has everybody gone? Have you seen the beautiful design Cheryl has done for us over on the guest designer spot - if not poop over and have a look? It makes me want an imagine! I find it quite ironic that the Expression 2 on C&C is £439 and the imagine is £469 - which is the better buy??????? Which is more reliable?????? Or shoudl I just stick to my Expression?
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi Liz, stick to what you have. If it's not broke don't fix it! Anything that's full of electronics - stay away from till they have been truly tested! Looks like our trustworthy machines with the spare buttons will be obsolete soon - my view! Ginger was talking about new wifi machine and updates and never mentioned our spare buttons that we told would be used at some stage. If my machine breaks I would replace it with the same. Staying in bed - sore throat and migraine in my eye, even my teeth hurt - ouch!
Have you all changed your clocks - now this is when technology should kick in!
Happy Sunday!
Poor jimmy saville - would have been his birthday tomorrow - RIP.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Thanks Sandra, No it will be my second but cause of Anne-marie's sad complex past my other Grandson was taken off her and she was forced to have him adopted 6 years ago, he will be 11 in a few weeks well 22 December so we get one letter contact a year. This is Anne-Marie's world complete now and has made all her hard fight to get her life back in control worth while! She was so tired when I left her and waiting for 2 stitiches but had rung Mum for help this morning and my car was in for service so hubby took me over dropped me off and then brother picked me up. Her waters broke at 530am and 905 she was ringing me cause the hospital wanted to send her home and I had to go fight the battle for her that it was not a good idea to send her home low and behold Mum knew best 1107 he was there! Off to fetch guys out of school early as we have to be there before 4pm for them to see their nephew, ward would not let them on after school!
Re: Daily Chit Chat
May I pass my congratulations on Liz, well done Anne-Marie! Welcome to the world little Brody.

Hello ladies!
Hope all family and friends after Fridays accident on the motorway.
Did you all go to any bonfires? I went to the 'Devonshire arms' near Bolton abbey! It was fantastic. £7 each to get on which I thought was a lot, BUT there was a mini funfair, stalls, tea/coffee stalls, and the fireworks were out of this world. Well worth every penny. Booking to stay next year to have a meal first - that's how good it was.
