Re: Daily Chit Chat
Oh he's beautiful. Mum looks so happy that he's here now. Thanks for the pictures x x
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Yes he is beautiful but then all four are beautiful - mind you I can be accused of being biased. I can say Dad is good looking else he will feel left out. Brody has Dad's laid back temperament but that is good as all four of mine as they got older have inherited a fiery temperament!
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi liz he is beautiful are you spoiling him
Hubby is still in hospital they discharged him Thursday morning but while he was waiting fir the meducation to come home he developed a high temp so they have kept him in on antibiotics while they find out what it is
I have had a terrible week I have put in an complaint against the doctor that saw him when he was admitted and for the first two days I was sat in the CDU with him on Friday I asked what was wrong with him and what was happening and they kept saying they were not dealing with him and they would get the person that was to come and talk to me the next thing I heard one of the nurse stood behind me on the phone taking to the ward they were transferring hm to and she was telling what was wrong and that there was a Do not resusertate order on him. I asked again what was going on and got the same answer. Then they started to move him so I went to the ward with him when we got there they said you can not stay with him on this ward so you might as well go home I put my foot own and said I was not going home till some one told me what was going on. The nurse then told me about the DNAR on him I said why and she said you do know he has lung cancer so there was no point in resusrtationg him
He had a pea size tummer in his lung That they treated last dec and tey just check him ever 6 months incase it grows again they have just seen that he was in a hospice for 2 weeks and assumed he only had a little time left so I demanded that they get his own specialist to see him and I wanted appointment to see him as well got that sorted
But have complained about the way I found out about it and the doctor that did it
They are supposed to discuss it with relatives before they wright a order like that

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Oh Sandra I am so sorry to hear your tale and even more sorry to say in one day this is the third type of hospital incompetant behavour I have heard today. Amber's God father has had 6 scans in 3 weeks and been told there is something serious going on but they cannot put their finger on it! Meanwhile he cannot breathe properly at all! A customer of his apologised for not seeing them much recently ( he is a landlord) and said he had a bit of a to do and he had gone to hospital with back ache/kidney problem and been told he had 8 weeks to live, went home made his arrangements and then was informed that the results were not his at all but another patients and he was not terminally ill. I might point out these are all different hospitals both private and NHS and they still make these catastrophic cock ups.
I really feel for you Sandra and I personally would be doing my nut and I have never ever come across any ward that the spouse could not go in with her/his spouse no matter how ill they were(unfortunately I have spent a lot of time in hospitals one way and another). I would be going crazy if I were in your shoes and I am afraid the local paper would be getting a call with my tale or even possibly the nationals. My friend tonight said they need reporting and revealing to the public what a cock up they are continually making. Another friend was discharged by a surgeon after lung operation and was told he was a lucky man and he need see nobody again and no further treatment and then was called in to see his consultant not his surgeon and told he had a 90% chance of the problem in his lung reccuring and if not found within first three months of recurring then he would become inoperable and curtains. So he must have xrays every 3 months. Then out of the blue he was sent for radiotherapy who rang him and told him last week he had missed an appointment for the radiotherapy - one he had never been sent and when he repeated what the surgeon said he was told he couldn't/wouldn't have said that yet I was present and witnessed him saying it! Now they are treating him with radiotherapy yet they haven't been able to give his problem a name and they have told him at different times it has been three different medical problems so how the hell do they know he has having the best/right treatment if they do not know what it is? My blood boils for everybody that has to go to hospitals.
When Anne-Marie went to hospital in labour, at 920 they wanted to send her home with contractions less than 3 mins apart and she rang me and I told her not to move and I would get there one way or another as my car was in for service and she was not to leave the hospital - I did she didn't and I was probably not the most popular person in the delivery suite but Brody was born at 1107. Because she was not shouting and screaming she was considered to not be in sufficient pain to stay! and that was a quote from the midwife she certainly made up for that in the last hour! During giving birth the midwife's assistant passed out and I caught her in my arms before she hit the floor! What blinking chaos.
Anyway better shuffle on and my thoughts and prayers are with you and hubby Sandra. Give that consultant what for.

Update time
Sorry for lack of attendance
James has had two lots of blood tests, he started aching in his legs and arms. Put it down to growing pains. (mums diagnosis)!!!
Phoned docs for results but they wanted to 'discuss'. Since James was at school I had to make appt to see doctor tonight. I lost my dad and brother through cancer and told receptionist I needed to speak to doctor. Anyway, we went down and it's a blood reading on bone and liver - due to growing, yep! Growing pains, just what I said months ago. I have even been blamed for shrinking clothes in the wash - at 30• I don't think so!!!!!! Anyway. More tests in a couple of months, fingers crossed just age!
Sorry for absence recently but so fed up
Love to all, keep crafting!

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Thanks for your kind thought
I just want this week to end the madness goes on
The said we would be able to pick up the medical certificate on Monday afternoon
That did not happen they said they had bleep the doctor but he had not come down to do it so it would be Tuesday on Tuesday when we phoned they said it was going to the coroner as he had asbestos so we would get it late Tuesday then I got a message to phone the coroners office this morning now they say they need to do a post-mortem even though he died in hospital after being in there for 5 days so still no death certificate so can not arrange the funeral and begin to come to terms with it all

Re: Daily Chit Chat
I am so sorry you going through all this, it is just red tape gone mad without a thought for relatives feelings. My heart goes out to you hoping the madness will end soon for you.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
I can't believe the madness goes on they are now going to give us a interim death certificate on Monday but some one has to identify his body for the coroner he died in hospital just another way to add to the agony because he had asbestosis they have taken a little piece of his ling to count the number of fibbers they said there are three opinion as to what the do with it after they have done the test I could they them keep it for science have it back or they could bury it or cremate it it was up to me and did I want a copy of the coroners report my mind is just numb with it all

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Chaos as normal here! Loads of jobs to do in last day and a half and then Dom had to go to docs this morning as breathing was difficult last night and he needed inhaler for first time in months. Doc said his chest was least of his worries as he had very nasty ear infection and throat infection and to try and keep topside of his asthma so it didnt get a hold!!! So super strong antibiotics for his age and size - so no school for him today but he wants to go in for the fun bit tomorrow. Amber been in school all day but her RS teacher took them to a Thai restaurant for lunch and miss a couple of classes!!! Amber has horse competition Thursday, Dom and cadets bag packing in Morrison's that day, other brother and partner coming down Friday for meal and exchange presents, take Anne-Marie, Brody and Mick their presents Christmas eve, other brother coming to stay Christmas eve until Boxing Day or so depending on weather! Anne-Marie, Mick and Brody come over Boxing Day!
Anne-Marie bringing Brody over for his Gran-Gran to cuddle him tomorrow.
