Re: Daily Chit Chat
Glad you had a great time Pam, it's lovely to be spoilt and waited on every now and then.
It's been a glorious day here, sun shining and lovely and warm. Me and hubby took time out from decorating and housework to go on a bike ride round Bosham harbour. About half way round I spied an ice-cream van. Must have one of those I thought, so I had a double 99 (very naughty)and Roger had a caramel something. We sat with our feet dangling over the quay, it was just so nice to relax and enjoy the day.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Sounds like you had a fab day Kerry. It was quite warm round us today but as the afternoon plodded on it got clowdy and grey! Still not too cold as I have just taken Amber to CU and I didnt freeze. What's anybody working on at present?
Re: Daily Chit Chat
I've just got some new Tim Holtz distress inks, so I'm having a play with those. I have loads of cards to make for April, so I started those today. I've made 2 anniversary cards already plus 1 more to make, plus loads of birthdays too.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Well done Kerry, a busy little bee! How is the job hunt going, anything in the pipelines?
Hi Sandra how is the DH, any news yet?

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi liz he is still in hospital they have done the scan on his leg and no dvt
Finally got his specialist for his chest to come and see him after daughter phoned his secretary wanting to know why he was not being monitored while he was on steroids and all the things wrong with him was side effects of the steroids he today finalyagreed to take him off them so fingers crossed he should pick up now.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
That sounds more positive news for you Sandra. Steroids are very powerful drugs but also carry with them major side effects as you have discovered. I often think medical treatment is a 'job for the boys' as soon as they treat one problem the side effects cause another problem that their collegues nedd to look at!

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Good morning Ladies,
Sandra, I am pleased to hear that they have sorted your DH problems out and hope he feels better soon.
Chris, I thought you had gone AWOL like me but glad to see you back, enjoy the NEC and don't spend too much. I wish I lived nearer to Birmingham as I would have gone to the Show as I missed Harrogate this time.
Kerry, I would like a "99" next with two flakes please!!!!!!
Pam

Re: Daily Chit Chat
99's all round then, anyone for sprinkles
It's lovely here again today, just a light breeze. Glad there's no DVT Sandra, that's a relief. No sign of a job yet Liz, not sure what I fancy doing, but I keep looking.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
I'm all about the flakes, has to be Cadbury though!!!!
I have been a little bit awol, I go have phases of reading obsessively and I'm going through one at the moment
I am going to pootle along to the NEC tomorrow, I wasn't sure until yesterday that I was definitely going, I more or less TOLD my boss was having the day off, I'm in danger of burning out if I don't have a break, I've had so much going on emotionally that being busy at work was actually a real help but it's getting a bit much now. Hopefully it'll slow down next week though.
Going to go and make a cuppa
Love to you all

Re: Daily Chit Chat
I've not been to the NEC Pam but did have jobs to do in the garden whilst the weather was with us! Then I had to go fetch another cart from the PO and pay my £11.79 with a smile whilst gritting my teeth and thinking why oh why but as the cart only cost $32 I should not moan but feel like it, but then the other cart arrived last week and I didnt have to pay anything on that!
It seems very quiet on here for the past week or more. I pop in and out when I can and rarely see many folks on, at the moment.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi Liz, you must have been very unlucky having to pay that amount to the PO! The weather has been glorious the last few days but it looks as though it is coming to the end for some of us tomorrow. My DH has spent that last two days in the Garden planting his precious dahlias!!

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Mine was just clearing dries leaves dust, dead plants etc! I heard about the weather so thought better not leave it til the weekend when DH would be available to have done it.
Think my luck has taken a holiday at the moment apart from the bad variety!

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Well another day of sunshine by the looks of it, so suppose it will be really quiet on here again! I am off in moments to do the weekly shop with bro, see how fast we can get it done then back home and to the garden I hope but I do have to take my car in to the garage as I have a bulb gone in my lights, if I am on full beam I am fine so for the past week on my cheuffeuring duties I've left them up full and been cursed at by loads of drivers around the county. Amazing how when you dont want to go out at night you suddenly need to go out twice as often!!!! Sods law or what?
Well better poop off so ready for bro as he is now late so will come in and want to go straight out!

Re: Daily Chit Chat
A lovely day here again. I put a thermometer outside in the sun and it measured 39.5 degrees. Our back garden is sheltered which helps, but I was surprised how warm it was. We've been gardening again, but you have to make the most of it
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Morning Peeps
I know don't faint I'M BACK.
Weather has been so nice that my garden has called me in too clean her up.
We have planted some fruit trees a Bramley , Russett and a Pear tree, then we started to clear all the leaves up as we live in a Wood we have so many of the blessed things and with all that snow and ice at Xmas we have lost a few plants and shrubs.
I wish I could grow Dahlias but the rabbits & slugs love too much, most of what we grow have to be very hardy and Rabbit & slug proof
Went to NEC very disapointing only 1 stall sold Cricut goodies and the carts were not the new ones but I did buy wrap it up those images are so cute. Bought glue, paper, ribbon, and blades Mats etc just the essentials. Also bought lots of LOTV stamps I just love them and they are reasonable price too.
I watched a demo on Copic markers and the lady told me which ones to buy first and she gave me the image for me to copy for practice
Over on the Imagine UK forum a lady in the sates has just bought me lori's Garden I'm so excited cant wait to get her home.
Looks a bit cooler her today so might only garden for the morning as we have motor racing on later so DH will wont to watch that so I'll be in to craft.
Time for Breackie
see you later
