Re: Daily Chit Chat
Morning everyone. New party game on my blog this morning - win some ProMarkers today
Gosh it's a miserable day here, all grey and dark. I have developed a leak in my crafty cupboard, we can't work out where it's coming from, but there's a steady drip into a bucket strategically placed, and my stuff is out all over the floor. I am so tight for space it's a real pain. Mike says we need to go up into the loft to look at the roof or something. A plumber didn't have a clue, so it's a mystery. Ah the joys of home ownership.

Hi all
Hoping to get busy this afternoon and make a supply of birthday cards for the young people who come to the youth group I help run. I don't have too much problem with the girls but find teenage boys really hard. Any good ideas for quick cards anyone?

What carts have you got Debbie? There is a mobile phone and iPod on Paisley, and a games controller, phone and other stuff that I can't remember on boys will be boys. There is also a shoe like a high top Converse boot on My Community, that looks great done in boy colours. I did it once in camoflage (sp? I know that's not right ) for a teen boy, he loved it. Then the sports mania cart has loads of stuff you could use.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Thanks En. I've got my community and Paisley so I'll check those out. I've been looking at buying Boys will be boys - do you recommend it?

Re: Daily Chit Chat
I've only just got it, but really like it, lots of stuff that can be used for male cards, not just little boys. Why are men always so difficult? There's going to be 2 cards made with it on my blog on saturday.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
I'll look at your blog - thanks.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Thank you Enfys for the ideas on boys cards Im also making some cards for my brother, he wanted 10 boy/male cards and 6 girl cards. I was struggling a little bit for ideas.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Run the sole of the My Community shoe through the cuttlebug if you have the tiny circles or squares folder - they are old ones, so you may have them. Adds texture and looks great. Glad to help
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Oops, forgot, if you have any sentiment buttons like the craftwork cards ones, pop one of those on in the place where Converse have their logo. You'll see what I mean in my saturday card.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Thanks for the tips Enfys - I've had a look on your blog at the sneaker cards. They look good with the texture on the sole.

Hi all I'm at work at the moment and thought I'd pop on and see what every one is doing, while I'm on my break.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi everyone.
Hope you are all doing ok. En, I hope you are feeling a bit better now from your flu jab and sorry to hear about your friend. Liz, poor Amber, I hope she is quickly on the mend and starts to feel a lot better soon.
Hi Pam and Chris, hope you are having a lovely time on your holidays, ooh I am sooooo jealous, really need to see some sun soon.
I am feeling very lonely now that you have all got friends - I don't have any - oh well, not that I know how to get any either .
Well it has been quite a hectic week this week. We have been back and forward to the hospital with Brian for more tests and saw his consultant yesterday. They are referring him to a speech therapist as he is still struggling to make sense of his words and also to help him with his swallowing (I tell you, you wouldn't believe how a stroke can affect so many things). They also want him to go for another more involved MRI scan in the next week or two as his main artery in his neck going up to the brain is 58% furred up and they explained that sometimes they surgically intervene if the percentage is around 60%. Obviously as he has never been in hospital his whole life the thought that they may operate on his brain has really scared him, so much so that his blood pressure went up. The good thing though is that the new medication does seem to be stabilising his blood pressure most of the time so keep your fingers crossed as it is still early days.
Oh well, enough rambling as I had better get Benn out the door for school and get myself off to work.
But if you fancy being my friend I would soooo love to be friends too.

Hi Liz, boo hoo I must be doing something wrong as I can't find a friend or foe tab. the only one I found was a friends tab but when I go into that it just states I have no friends.
Hi Kazzy, congrats on your order you clever thing. I am hopeless at crocheting or knitting for that matter.

Re: Daily Chit Chat
Hi Sandra, Sorry its taken so long, I didnt know the friends request existed. This weekend im going to study the forum in great depth. Ive accepted everyone.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Evening ladies, hope everybody is cheery and well. What does anybody think to this baby Yudu? I've forgotten its proper name but its for printing on cardstock with preprepared screens.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
I'm not terribly excited about it, there's nothing very creative about drawing a squidgy thing over ink and a premade screen, also a huge capacity for mess, knowing me! I'll probably get to see it in action when I am at CHA in a couple of weeks, will report back.
Re: Daily Chit Chat
I might be more impressed if you could make your own screens like the big Yudu. I fancied a big Yudu but cannot get it in this country, so in true crafting style spent the money I had saved for it on other goodies!
Re: Daily Chit Chat
Due to my talents for making as much mess as is humanly possible, it's a good idea for me not to handle liquid inks or paints I won't be getting a yudu or it's diminutive
How is everyone today?
