Using the gallery!

Morning peeps!!
I have just has a little play with the gallery setting and its quite lovely.
All you need to do is as Liz says, click the piccy icon nestled in between Home and FAQs on the page bar.
Click on members creations and then theres a little link saying upload picture at the top on the left hand side, click that and you will be able to add your piccy.

To make your own personal gallery clickon the personal album at the very bottom of the page and load your piccies.

Oh Lou I have done it I'm so pleased as I think this is such a great place to be able to see pics. Well do Liz for think of this.

Well done Fi and Lou for working this out and getting us off to a beautiful start.

I have worked on the button for the Gallery - I think it should be easier to find for folks although my replication of buttons is not an exact match!

That looks great. I just went and added a BUNCH of pics *LOL*. Sorry to the moderators that I just totally swamped you.

I cant see the 'bunch' of photos you've added to the gallery. So I am assuming they have not added!

Well each photo said that it was successfully uploaded but awaiting approval by a moderator. I didn't get any error messages or anything else.

Well, it just let me approve them all myself. Not sure why it let me - but it did. They are all in my personal album right now. I am going to see if I can add them to the Member Gallery also without having to re-upload them all.

Dont worry about moving them I have now found them and they are easy enough to see by everybody.

We will have to think on the gallery as we only include 20GB of storage within the forum and 62% has already been used to have more space we will have to pay for storage space. Comments and suggestions please.

Well, I just got done adding them to the main member gallery. So, I'll just leave them there.

My comments and suggestions would be...
I'd like the gallery to be big enough for everyone to add their creations. That's what's fun about places like this.

I'd like to be able to upload more than one photo at a time, and put the photo in both a personal and member gallery. It would be great to be able to add a photo to both categories at once so it won't have to be uploaded twice.

That little thing about having to moderate and approve my own comments was a little weird so it would be nice to have fixed.

That's just my person opinion. I love to see everyone's work, and with most forums posts move so quickly I can't keep up - so I find the gallery much easier to navigate when I am looking specifically for project ideas and not other advice or tips and tricks.

I have just tried to add some pictures to the gallery and it says "the size of all the pictures is too large and the limit has been exceeded and no more can be added " i had n 't even selected an image so it can t be that my image is too large , I wonder if we have exceeded the amount of pictures that can be added ?

Hi Kate, we only get 20MB free space for the gallery (which was 100% used) and after that we pay for it on a monthly basis, so I have added another 50MB for us to use and so how we go with it. I am not sure what happens at the end of the month but I am sure we will work it out! So anybody wanting to load things in the gallery should have space to do so now

Gallery size has been increased to 70Mb and we are only using 24 at the moment.
