Hi Gals.
These are only suggestion see how you feel and let me know what you think.
Cuts to be made on white / cream ? CS appox 200gsm ?
Cut Sizes 1 & 2"
Cut per swap 5 or 10
Cut size & cart named on a tag inside the envelope ?
No Fonts
Would you like a theme each month eg: flowers, Boy, Girl etc.
Then we could make a few cards with the cuts we have recieved and place them in the gallery.
I know alot of us have similar carts so I thought if you also put name of cart/s used on outside of envelope then I can see who has what and hopefully give them out to those who don't have those carts.
So get listing your carts Girls.
Then you will send them to me by the 15th of each month Please include a SAE for your return.
Hope thats everything, do give some feed back if your interested
LOL Chris x

Cut Swap
I would love to participate in a cut swap. Will being in the USA keep me out? How will I know how much postage to use, and how long it takes mail to get to the UK? I think it is a good idea to have a theme for every month. I belong to a card swap, and our biggest problem is the girls that don't keep to the time schedule, or don't send at all some months but do receive from the rest of us. Our cards are due on the first of the month, it is now the 12th and I have not received any cards yet this month, it can be very frustrating. I think this should be addressed up front. Would all cuts be the same for the month or could you send a variety of cuts? I think 5 would be a good number to start with, no sense in overwhelming anyone. Keep me posted, thanks.

Laurie we will keep you up to speed. Chris who is going to be my co-ordinator on this one is away in Australia until Feb which is why we have said starting March to give us time to get our heads together and try to iron out some wrinkles first although like allsorts of things probably will need modifying as we go along and get into it. Everything will be posted on this thread so do keep watching. The fact you are in US should not prevent you from taking part once we have decided on how many cuts we will post a guide as to postage based on weight. Normally UK to US or vice versa is around 10 days in my experience but will check with other members and see what they think.

Hi Liz & Laurie
Its very hot here 41 degress today so in the air con shopping centre.
My thoughts on our swap: Themed cuts will be anything for spring. Flowers animals etc.
If we say 5 cuts for the first 2 months to see how that goes. What doyou both think.
Laurie if you can weigh 5, 2 inch cuts on a cardstock of a medium weight say Stampin up C/S no heavier then that would give you an idea of what stamps you should put on you envelope for its return. As Liz says post from the US takes about 10 days but I'm not going to be that fussy if it's not here on time Laurie as I know what the post can be like.
So is there anything I else that your not sure off just let me know.
LOL Chris

Need Information
This is my first swap, so I need some clarification. Do I make 5 of the same cut, and I will receive 5 different cuts? Where do I send them and when are they due? 2 in. seems small for a scrapbook page, or are we just doing cards? Thanks for the information, I am getting excited!

Hi Laurie
I'm at the airport as I write this waiting for my flight home. 25hrs . Please dont worry we wont start without explaining it all to you.
I suguested white cardstock only because most people have it in there craft room.
If it helps you I colour mine with ditress inks or Chalk, if you would like to use a colour then thats fine, this is very new to us all so lets have a play with this and see where it takes us, we'll have lots of fun. We sugested 1 or 2" for cards to start with, but we could always cut for scrapbooking later on if you would like a larger size.
You can PM me if you would like to ask more question. And my address.
How many cuts would you like to send the first time ? As Im a little concerned about the amount of postage you'll have to pay for your to be returned to the US
There are only 3 of us at the moment and I'm looking forward to recieving my cuts in the post.
