Hi!
Hi everyone, Having been a long time lurker on the Uk Cricut thread on Cricut.com and followed you all over here, I thought I had better introduce myself! I am Jan, my name Jinty comes from the nickname my scottish husband of 33 years calls me. I live just outside Wolverhampton and work as a school secretary. I have two children 21 and 25 (where did the years go??) and have always done crafts of some sort or other. My daughter is getting married in June and I will be busy in the next few months making the invites and other things which is both exciting and scary as i want to do a good job. She and I are making her bouquet out of pearly buttons and various brooches - another challenge that I hope will come out well.
I have had my Expression for nearly two years and really like it and have just got a Gypsy having been tempted by the special offer of the cartridge downloads (love a freebie!). I also have SCAL and DS and seem to spend all my time looking at blogs to see what everyone else is doing and not doing enough myself.
I am hoping to join in the chat, although I don't think I may often have much of interest to say! Anyway, thank you Liz for starting the forum - it looks great and has certainly tempted me to join in and I look forward to chatting with you all.
Jan xx

Re: Hello
Hello Jan, I am glad you followed and felt able to join in with the chat. I am hoping everybody feels like that. At my last count we had 31 members in 4 days so I am really pleased with that. I have been working on the guest designers and I am over half full now so just a few more spots to fill. Had lots of housey stuff to do today so I haven't been on the computer so much today.
Well Pam I know it was a man in a suitcase but we could always change it to a woman in a suitcase! They say you can get used to anything.

Re: Hello
Hi to Jan and Shiela - welcome to the forum!!
Whereabouts do you live Jan? I am from Bridgnorth originally but moved to Finchfield in Wolverhampton when I was 2. My parents still live in the same house now, but I moved to just outside of Banbury 8 years ago.
Chris on here lives in Shropshire also, so that's not far from you!
Hope you've all had a good week so far?

Re: Hello
When my brother did his teacher's training he did it a school called Bloxham which is in Banbury I do believe - infact he retired last year and he still visits Bloxham and has friends there some 40 years later!

Re: Hello
It was reward I sent it to several times before they eventually answered! It took several emails and about a month to sort.

Hi Everyone, I am here at Liz's invitation. She is a follower of my blog http://dailygracecreations.blogspot.com and told me about this new forum she had started. I live in South Carolina, USA. I have a son and a daughter and 3 grandsons. My daughter introduced me to scrapbooking and card making a couple of years ago. We started our blog in July, 2010 in honor of my husband and Donna's Dad who passed away in March, 2010. He was our biggest fan and encouraged us numerous times to start a blog to show our creations. I hope you will drop by our blog and visit. We try to post a new project each day.
I have an expression, a cuttlebug "lots" of cartridges and a tremendous amount of other "stuff". I also love to use digital images. I look forward to getting to know you.

Re: Hello
Thank you for the welcomes.. I think I am going to like it here! Can't wait to visit your blogs and can see i am going to spend even less time creating and more on the computer ;0. Hello Peggy, I shall go and see your blog soon..
Nicky, I live in Perton and actually work in Finchfield. I know Bridgnorth quite well - its a lovely little town. I know Enfys is from Solihull - I remember 'chatting' to her when I was thinking of getting the Expression nearly two years ago and blamed her for making me want one! Am hoping to go to Solihull in March to have a 'fashion advice' session at John Lewis and hopefully find an outfit for the wedding.
One advantage of this area is that I am close (ish) to Shrewsbury and when I go there I have to check out the craft section at the QVC outlet. Have had some good bargains from there in the past (there is lots of tat too!).
Look at me blathering on - sorry!

Re: Hello
Nothing to apologise for. That is why we all get on we all have a turn at moaning, praising, shouting screaming laughing etc etc. Then the craft slips in too! Lovely to get to know you better.

Thanks For The Warm Welcome
Busy at work all day today and am now waiting for the last customer to get here. I am a finance manager at a car dealership so I do all the papers after the car is sold. The hours are horrible but it often times allows me to visit on the boards. I have been busy planning here at work as I will be going to the Dallas Texas swarm that is sponsored by Provocraft. Excited to meet some of the ladies that I have gotten to know while blogging. I have also been busy getting my blog back on schedule and restarting the Gypsy Made Simple Series on Saturday mornings. I do hope if there are some new Gypsy owners you take advantage of learning the basice on mine or another blog as that machine has so much to offer us crafters.
Guess I better get back to work.... nice meeting you ladies and I will be back.

Re: Hello
Morning all, and a really nice welcome to all of our new members - we are worldwide now !
Liz, Bloxham is not far from me at all! It is on the other side of Banbury, but only about 10 miles away. Your Brother must have been very lucky to go to that School as it is a beautiful place.
Hi Jan, my Aunty lives in Perton (Fallowfields) and my Grandad lived there for some time before he moved to Spain, but that was nearly 30 years ago though now!
It is such a small world!!
Its VERY wet here this morning, and it would happen to be the day that I walk my daughter to the Kindergarten in the Village - that means I will be nice and soggy by the time I get back!
Have a good day all!

Re: Hello
He! He! Just popped on again, it is so easy on this iPhone lol. Just wanted to say hi to all the new people, Jinty, Peggy, Nickyw33 and Sheila (hope I haven't missed anyone). Nicky I live at Leighton Buzzard so not too far from you.
Sheila, thanks for the tip I will pop on over and have a look because it will be great to see what else my gypsy can do for me but to tell the truth with Brian having the stroke I really haven't used it much since getting it or my expression which I had waited soooo long to get it
Never mind I am going to put time aside for me time this year as we have realised life is too short.
Well back to work lol!
