Sandra, I am not sure but have you looked on the US eBay site as there was one there earlier on today, I think it was around $21 including postage. I am not sure what my postage will be as my son is going to send it onto me as I get free postage with Amazon as I am on their "prime" list. In sterling the tool was about £8.50

Help!

How long does it take to update the Gypsy software, its been on 100% for ages and stills shows 'connected' to the Gypsy. Oh I just pressed stop and it came up with another screen and I am now downloading 'data file' I think for the second time......... crickey, im only on 20%, this is going to take forever, what happens if you own all the 100's of cartridges, does it take as long to start as the old Design Studio does - 235 seconds, it was slower last time I ran it, over 300 seconds, but hey - we can wait, not very well - but we can wait!!!!!!

Hope everybody has had a good day!

196 seconds to go, you could sing this with the tune of '10 green bottles'

Hi Dee, yes I did know that Once upon a Stamp did free P&P, I know their prices are good but if you look at other online shops it makes you appreciate how good they are.

Liz and Carol please don't mention the word "Gypsy" as I still haven't found mine and have contacted Provocraft with a view to replacing it and if I do the following my cartridges can be re-loaded:-
1 Buy a new one
2 Send it over to the US which will cost me a fortune as I would certainly insure it
3 They will re-serialize it and send it back no doubt costing me the postage etc
4 Then of course knowing me I would get stung for import duty so all in all it will be a very expensive exercise so I am still looking in every nook and cranny around the house hoping it will re-appear!!!!!

Oh Pam what a fiasco, is there no help C&C can give as their authorised distributor in the UK?

I am afraid it is no good you will have to spring clean everything and then hopefully it would turn up! If you were hiding it from Grand kids I would start looking everywhere above their height or reach as I am sure you will have thought they are inquisitive little bodies so you need to go up in height. Not sure if that bit of logic will help but it might do. Do you have a specific craft room? perhaps top shelf in there! Inside a suit case....

Hi Dee, glad you had a good time, I hope the weather was kind to you.

Liz, I was thinking just the same for Pam - suitcase, if I was moving things out of the way - perhaps open the lid of a bedding box and throw everything in!!!! Wardrobe! inside box in wardrobe!!! come on everybody, lets get Pam's memory going then we can save her a fortune!!!

Give us a clue Pam, what is your craft room layout, how many cupboards do you have? would you put it in a storecupboard in your craftroom or a trolley bag/craft bag???? In the box that it came in originally? now, I have to think where I would hide something from Ian if I didnt want him to see it for the first year or so!.................

In cupboard under fish tank, in cupboard in spare room (not sure about that one)!......

Any help yet Pam?

Maybe some of your new purchases are covering up where you put your little baby???

Do you have any little (large enough for a Gypsy) drawers? where do you keep your plugs and wires etc????? what about laptop bag, camera case??????

I hate it when I cannot find something, I turn the house upside down and when I have found whatever it is, I think 'Oh Yeah' I remember putting that there now, its like going upstairs and not remembering what you went up for and when you come back down, you remember again!!!!!! Who said minds are like computers? maybe they are, mine is, gets mixed up at times, needs to rest every hour or so, starts to play up when worked too hard, slows down at the end of the day?????????? yep, my mind is just like my computer.

Hi Carol, I have looked everywhere you suggested, suitcases, bags, out of reach shelves but so far nothing, I will keep looking and as my Son says in years to come when he is learning out the house he will find it, but hopefully I will have found it before then.

Well one thing for sure Pam you are getting all our grey cells to work. In the airing cupboard, on top of the kitchen cupboards. On top of the medicine chest, under your lingerie in the drawer. Under the socks. On top of the books in the bookshelf, inside the hostess trolley - I hid the kids furboes there for ages cause they only went to sleep in the dark and they were driving me insane. Then I forgot all about them and so did the kids until I needed to put some plates in to warm! This year I discovered I had crackers left from last year as I had put them in the hostess end of Christmas and had had no reason to use the hostess, bought new ones then Xmas Eve opened hostess trolley to put some plates and lo and behold was a box of crackers!!

I do this game every day with my keys, even bought a whistle thingy to put on key ring, Ian would not let me put it on, and I cannot whistle anyway!!!!

Hope everybodies day Is better than my neighbours, their bright orange landrover was taken last night! The thieves even unscrewed the security light and took the bulb out! I'm all for leaving them in the dark and putting obstacles in their way, but then again if they get hurt, they would probably prosecute me!

Carol, if your nearest Chemist is in Manchester then I think you need to move!!!!! I don't think an orange land rover will be hard to find as a small black gypsy. At least it is not raining here at the moment after yesterday when we had to make our way through floods to get to Kendal.

Hi Sandra, no I haven't found it yet but I have got all the necessary leads, I am beginning to think that perhaps we all have too many craft items to keep an eye on. I am putting all my stuff in boxes with labels on so I know where everything is!!!!!!!!

Fingers and toes crossed for Dom! All the very best to him!

I dont think I will be going to Harrogate tomorrow, I am so tired, I have been up to my mums today, my sister flew over for a few days, she goes back Monday - weather permitting. Jersey was fog bound most of last week, so it could be hit or miss.

Everybody that goes to Harrogate, have a great time, I will be there in the spring. This is the first show that I am not going to go to for about three years or just over!.

I never been to harrogate craft show. I used to go to the fashion week when I was in the rag trade but these days I cannot justify long drives which cause pain for a hobby. Where do they have the harrogate show? In thw town or outside the town. The fashion used to take over most of the town the exhibition centre and the hotels. I used to enjoy the trip up there as both buyer and exhibitor.
Thanks for the good luck.
