I am sorry I cannot give credit where credit is due on this one but I am not taking the credit for thinking of it only of passing it on. Whilst on my blog hops I read a fantastic idea. There was a crafter who had a Gypsy and an E who was one evening designing on her Gypsy but then needed to search her handbooks for a particular cut, she then realised as they were expecting visitors all the hand books needed tidying up again as they looked rather messy. Her husband was reading a book on one of these electric book thingies like the Amazon Kinder and she asked him if it would accept pdf files and he said yes, so she sent him out to buy her one (she didnt pinch his) and she has downloaded all the odf's for her carts and stored them on the thingy so know she just has two small electrical pieces of equipment her G and her thingy!!! Absolute crafting brilliance, no need to untidy the sitting room but full access to all her books!

There is two ways to do it you need ireader on the iPad
Go to Cricut libray view the book you want when it comes up tap the top right of the screen it should say view in ireader the only trouble with this way is it puts numbers instead of what the book is called

The other way is to download them to you computer call the file books you then need to check the names on them as dome of them still have the numbers just re name them then open iTunes click on books and it should put them in there
Then sink you iPad with I tunes they will then be in the library of Ireader under PDF

Let me know if you have any trouble

hi carol
here is the link for the books http://www.cricut.com/information/cartridge_library.aspx
click view on the one you want if you are opening them on a ipad when the cart book open tap the top right hand corner of your ipad screen and it should say view in IBOOK if you have downloaded it from the app store it was only about 59pence and comes with a peter rabit book free

if you are opening them on a computor just save them to a file and call it books then in itune on the left side it should say books click on that and it should let you import the books in the file then sink you ipad

i have done them both ways but if you download them streight to the ipad it has numbers instead of the name of the book
so i downloaded them to the computor and changed the name to what the cart is called

Sandra,

Just found your link whilst doing a catch up. Thanks for the reply to my last question. I have managed to open the Toy Story handbook from the site, thank you for that. Is it any clearer on the ipad, I am having such a lot of trouble with one of the layouts, the cuts are so small and I cannot see on the picture where some of the little pieces go, it's the Buzz Lightyear with a lazer coming from his arm (page 38) thanks Sandra, it has come in useful already, but I just cannot make head nor tail of the picture. When you make some of these little cuts onto your card, how do you know where to stick them, some of them do not appear to go anywhere!!!! Oh I'm rambling, I'm going to make a cup of tea, anybody want one?
