Hello

Post  Admin on Sat Jan 01, 2011 9:24 am

I think it would be nice to use this post as an introduction of ourselves to everybody, so we know a little about each other - or at least as much as we want others to know about us.

I will set the ball rolling and my name is Liz, I am married to John and have two younger children by John called Amber and Dominic. There is 19 months between them and it is the big year for Amber as she is taking her GCSE exams this year. I also have an older daughter by a previous marriage and she will be 30 this year - gosh I am getting old - not surprising I am getting greyer and greyer!

I love all things 'crafty' I own a Cricut Expression and a Gyspy and a Cuttlebug.

I am hoping we can stay logged in on this board but time will tell!

Perhaps we should use one post to list our cartridges so we can be as helpful to each other in these economic times as possible. Let me know what you think.

If you do not check the Log me in automatically box when you log in, the board will only keep you logged in for a preset time. This prevents misuse of your account by anyone else. To stay logged in, check the box during login. This is not recommended if you access the board from a shared computer, e.g. library, internet cafe, university cluster, etc.

Great into Kerry. sunny

I hope the joining process was easy. I seem to have stayed logged in for about 2 hours up to press so that looks promising. I have also noticed you get a little banner across top right corner on your posts if you are online, letting others know you are there.

Welcome Fi, tell people more about your club you might get some more members. Have a dedicated thread if you want to your club and use it to tempt others. I will see when I have time about trying to submit the forum to some search engines ect and start getting our little forum ranked then we may get some new crafty members.

Hello!

Post  nickyw33 on Sun Jan 02, 2011 8:55 am

Hi all! Ive managed to stumble across this forum from over on the Cricut MB - what a great idea!!

Im Nicky by the way and I live in a little village called Chipping Warden which is just a few miles outside of Banbury in Oxfordshire! I started with the Personal Cricut, but soon upgraded to the Expression and then also purchased the Gypsy! I would love to get the Imagine also, but I just cant let go of that £500 (ish) cost that they want for it!

I am married to Darren and have a 3 year old daughter called Emily! I also have 2 10 year old Black and Tan Cavaliers.

I look forward to reading everyone's news.

Thanks Nicky sunny

Hello

Post  carol on Sun Jan 02, 2011 9:09 am

Well, I suppose it's my turn now.

I am Carol, I am married to Ian and have two wonderful boys the eldest is nearly 21 and the youngest is nearly 16 (if he gets that far), by that I mean for his birthday he wants a skydiving day Shocked Shocked Shocked Shocked

I love my crafting and was introduced to the world by a lady in Bingley, we started talking over a cup of coffee at a craft fair, she told me about Kanban (biggest mistake ever - I love the place, me - I am like a child in a sweet shop), QVC and other channels, well the rest is history. I joined a craft club where one of the ladies took me under her wing, showed me her craft room and die cutting device that she had (red with long handle that you put dies under)...... we both looked at the Cricut on the internet and she ordered one and as it happened so did I, unfortunately I ordered the little (thinking about the cost), anyway I phoned customcrops.com and changed my order to a BIG ONE. Forty something cartridges later and I am set up in my youngest son's bedroom, he moved out when our eledest moved into Manchester with his girlfriend (good move). I can spend many hours with my teasmaid in one corner and two in one coffee sachets and that is me - happy.

I must say a big thank you to all you ladies that have helped me with computer problems (Kerry, Fi, Lou, Pam, Liz, Denise, Kath - infact everybody)!!!!!

Nice to see some new names (and faces) great idea Liz, this is nicer than having to just put a little about ourselves (nothing private off course).

The cartridge swap is a great idea, obviously registered or whatever service to protect the cartridge should the unthinkable happen.

Would be great if we could meet up sometime in 2011, now that would be nice, with name tags and everything, even a dafffodil on our lapel Cool Laughing

Well this is absolutely fab, I am so please with everybody's response and it is great to see some well known old faces that we haven't heard from in a while. Max I hope hubby gets on the mend, it is very frightening and you arent sure whether youare on your head or heels but fingers crossed and a few prayers he will soon be better. John had one years ago before the guys were born and I have to say I am always wary of another one. We will all help to keep you positive and keep that mojo going.

In less than 24 hours we are 14 strong now! Very Happy Keep spreading the word girls!

Oh and Chris thanks for cracking the whip I am sure we will soon have the forum just as we want but I bet there will always be a light bulb moment going on somewhere!
